DESCRIPTION:The first concert in our Historic Times Season was based around Remembrance Sunday, with special thought to the fact that it was the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. We performed Bob Chilcott’s moving Requiem with organ and small ensemble, Purcell’s Funeral Music for Queen Mary with brass quartet, and other Remembrance pieces. This concert was such a hit with both the choir and the audience that we decided to make it the subject of our next CD, which we will be recording in April 2012.
