DESCRIPTION:Our spring concert will possibly be the most beautiful we’ve ever done. We will be singing music composed between 1950 and the present day, from the likes of Lauridsen, Whitacre, Tavener, Chilcott, Ola Gjeilo and Will Todd. The programme will include Chilcott’s Little Jazz Mass, Whitacre’s Lux Aurumque, Geoffrey Burgon’s Ave Verum (based on the theme from Brideshead Revisited), Howard Goodall’s ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’ (the theme from the Vicar of Dibley). Tavener’s Song for Athene, Lauridsen’s Sure on this shining night and much more. Come along and let your senses be overtaken by a wealth of lyrical, ethereal and outright gorgeous music!
