DESCRIPTION:Our summer 2026 programme of traditional classical favourites is a joyous celebration in sacred music. We will perform two exhilarating settings of the Gloria: Vivaldi’s much-loved masterpiece and Tamesis favourite Bob Chilcott’s enjoyable contemporary version. We’ll also treat you to Buxtehude\'s Magnificat, Schütz\'s Psalm 100 and Gabrieli\'s Jubilate Deo, rounding off the concert with a short piece you might not know - Amy Beach\'s Peace I leave with you. Our organist will be the wonderful Simon Dinsdale.   Performing at Douai Abbey is a delight for us all - it’s a gorgeous, inspiring building that creates a truly beautiful musical setting. If you haven\'t visited before, its light, airy space and magnificent acoustics make it the perfect place to experience this programme of high-quality choral music. There’s plenty of free parking on site.   Fingers crossed for a beautiful summer evening, as we hope to serve interval refreshments (including wine and soft drinks) outside in the Abbey\'s garden.   Please come, bring your friends and family and spread the word.
