Our concert season for 2011-2012 is based around memorable events in history, and this term we’re highlighting the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. We will sing a selection of music that has been sung at Royal Weddings (including the Queen’s own wedding, Charles and Diana’s and Will and Kate’s) and lots of the music that was performed at the Coronation in 1953. The programme will include Parry’s I was Glad and Blest Pair of Sirens, Stanford’s Gloria in Excelsis, Handel’s Zadok the Priest and Walton’s wonderful Coronation Te Deum.
