Thank you to everyone who came to our Fire Songs and Bright Sparks concert. We have worked hard on the Lauridsen Madrigali and it was a blast to perform them for such an appreciative audience. We value your support so much.
Congratulations to our talented bright sparks performers Edward, Xie, Jaey, Helen and Lily – we’ve heard lots of compliments for your fabulous interludes.
And a big 🙌 to talented accompanists Ali and John. Ali played some wonderful and challenging-sounding piano for the violin and flute soloists. We are grateful and admiring of the work you both put in to preparing.
Great job by the first sopranos on interval refreshments 👍 🍷
As ever, our MD Louise Rapple Moore programmed the gig, rehearsed and directed us with aplomb – the joke-telling and Yorkshire accent were a bonus! 🙌😘
See you at Messiah on 4th December! Booking is open now…

As autumn draws in, we’re turning up the heat with Fire Songs and Bright Sparks. Our upcoming concert features fire and flames from Lauridsen, Morley, Will Todd, Ben Parry, Kim Andre Arnesen and The Bangles.

We’re delighted that talented young musicians from Queen Anne’s School and the local area will be performing interludes between our choral pieces. These ‘bright sparks’ will light up our concert with sparkling repertoire on violin, piano, guitar and flute.

It’s a diverse programme that will hold your attention and give you a warm feeling, whatever your musical tastes. And to keep your inner fires burning, there will be wine (and soft drinks) available at the interval.
Tamesis will sing:

  • Lauridsen – Fire Songs (Madrigali)
  • Morley – Fyer fyer
  • Will Todd – Fire of love
  • Ben Parry – Flame
  • Kim Andre Arnesen – My flame the song
  • The Bangles – Eternal Flame
Tickets are £12 (adults) and £5 (children and students in full time education).  Buy them online or from a choir member now!

We’d love you to buy tickets in advance, but they will also be available on the door.
