The ladies of Tamesis were very pleased to be asked to take part in Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestras’s performance of The Planets by Gustav Holst. During the Neptune movement Holst intended the voices to be placed off stage in an adjoining room, the door of which was to be left open until the very last bar when the instruments stop and only the voices are heard repeating the final two chords over and over while the door is slowly closed.
