The first in our set of two concerts on the theme of ‘Flora and Fauna’, Rejoice in the Lamb will feature Britten’s marvellous work of the same name, along with other sacred and secular favourites: Lauridsen’s beautiful Chansons des Roses, Mendelssohn’s Hear my Prayer (including the timeless O, for the wings of a dove), and pieces by Whitacre, Palestrina, Thiman, Pearsall, Gibbons and more.
