What a fabulous evening we had, performing Handel’s Messiah with the amazing Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra and wonderful soloists.
It was a pure joy to perform Handel’s masterpiece to a packed house. We’ve had some lovely comments from the audience, who enjoyed it as much as we did! Check out this clip taken by an audience member…and this lovely local press review…

REVIEW: All stand for the Hallelujah chorus thanks to Tamesis Chamber Choir and Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra

Concert Programme (PDF)

Professional soloists, an award-winning conductor, one of Berkshire’s best choral ensembles and a headline-making orchestra… as if one of the best loved oratorios of all time wasn’t enough, the combination of performers and musical direction for our next concert is set to make it a highlight of 2022.
Buy your tickets now to avoid disappointment. St Joseph’s College, just east of Reading town centre, provides an excellent setting for the concert, with plenty of parking on-site and public transport links on the Claret bus route from Reading train station.
Tamesis seldom has the chance to perform large-scale choral works so we’re thrilled to be collaborating with our friends at Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra in this concert. If you’d like to see APO in action, including clips of previous performances with Tamesis, take a look at their video gallery.

The concert is presented by Andrew Taylor, Conductor and APO Musical Director and Louise Rapple Moore, Tamesis Musical Director, with soloists Ellie Neate – Soprano, Elinor Carter – Alto, Will Searle – Tenor, Alex Jones – Bass

Tickets are £15 (adults) and £5 (children and students in full time education)
